Alsos Digital Library for Nuclear Issues - This is a web-based collection of annotated references to resources that offer a broad, balanced perspective on current and historical topics relating to nuclear issues. The library integrates these indexed references into a structured collection that allows users to examine nuclear issues from many perspectives. Its goal is to provide references for the study of the Manhattan Project and its consequences to a broad audience.

Chemical Elements.com (Periodic Table) - This is an online, interactive periodic table of elements.

Energy Providers Coalition for Education (EPCE) - This is a US partnership of electric utility companies, associations and unions that have joined together to respond to the industry's critical need for skilled power technicians. EPCE offers ground-breaking online programs preparing students to enter or advance their careers in Electric Power Technology and Nuclear Power Technology.

Hacettepe University Nuclear Engineering Dept. - The Department of Nuclear Engineering, established in 1978, initiated its undergraduate programme in 1982. Details of the courses available at this Turkish university are given.

Indonesian Nuclear Power - the Risk to Australia - An Australian National University study on the risk to Australia in the event of a release of radioactive gas from the proposed nuclear power plant on Java. The study identifies 'significant risk' and advocates use of alternative generating technologies.

International Training Centre - School of Underground Waste Storage and Disposal (ITC) - The ITC school provides both theoretical and practical training and research in all aspects of science, engineering, decision-making and communication concerned with underground waste management and related environmental issues. It is linked directly to active underground experimental facilities - in particular, the Grimsel Test Site.

Intute: Science, Engineering and Technology - This offers a free, easy to use and powerful tool for discovering the best Internet resources for teaching, learning and research, covering the physical sciences, engineering, computing, geography, mathematics and environmental science.

Kansas State University (KSU) - K-State's Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering Department offers undergraduate degrees in mechanical engineering and mechanical engineering with a nuclear option. Graduate degrees are offered in both Mechanical Engineering and Nuclear Engineering.

Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) - Established in 1958, the Department of Nuclear Engineering at MIT is the oldest nuclear engineering graduate programme in the US.

North Carolina State University (NCSU) - North Carolina State University was the first US university to establish a nuclear engineering education programme. The general technical areas emphasized in the department's graduate education programme are fission reactor technology, plasma/fusion engineering, radiation applications, and radiological engineering.

Nuclear Liaison - This is a portal for UK university nuclear education and research. It includes a directory of UK academic institutions offering courses or involved in nuclear-related research.

Oregon State University (OSU) - The Department of Nuclear Engineering and Radiation Health Physics offers educational and research programs to prepare students for careers related to the many beneficial uses of nuclear energy, and research and development programs dealing with nuclear technology and applications.

Penn State University Nuclear Engineering Programme - Extensive website of the Nuclear Engineering Programme of Penn State University.

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) - This institute, in Troy, N.Y., has a department of mechanical, aerospace and nuclear engineering.

University of California - Berkeley (UCB) - The Nuclear Engineering program of the university is comprised of classroom and laboratory instruction at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and a strong, diverse research program. The research programs are centred around three major areas: nuclear energy, nuclear waste and materials management, and applications of nuclear science.

University of Florida (UF) - The Department of Nuclear & Radiological Engineering (NRE) aims to educate nuclear and radiological engineering professionals in areas related to the release, control and safe utilization of nuclear energy, radiation and radioactivity to benefit society.

University of Illinois - The site includes current research at the Department of Nuclear, Plasma and Radiological Engineering (NPRE).

University of Michigan - Ann Arbor - The Department of Nuclear Engineering and Radiological Sciences (NERS) is home to a number of teachers, students and researchers who are dedicated to the development of beneficial technologies based on the physics of fundamental particles and radiation.

University of Missouri - Rolla (UMR) - The website of the Nuclear Engineering Department is a source of information for prospective freshmen, transfer students, undergraduate students and graduate students. In addition, it also contains general information about nuclear engineering and other related topics.

University of Tennessee (UT) - This website provides information to prospective students, existing students and faculty, alumni, industrial colleagues, and anyone else seeking to learn more about the UT Nuclear Engineering Department.

University of Texas - Austin - Website of the Nuclear & Radiation Engineering Program and the Nuclear Engineering Teaching Laboratory.

University of Wisconsin - Madison - The Department of Engineering Physics offers a broad program of instruction and research in engineering mechanics, in several areas of engineering physics and materials science, and in the principles and applications of the interaction of radiation with matter.

US National Academy of Sciences (NAS) - This is a private, non-profit, self-perpetuating society of distinguished scholars engaged in scientific and engineering research, dedicated to the furtherance of science and technology and to their use for the general welfare.

WebElements (Periodic Table) - WebElements aims to be a high quality source of information on the WWW about the periodic table for all from students at school to professional scientists.

World Nuclear University (WNU) - Through a worldwide network that coordinates, supports and draws on the strengths of established institutions of nuclear learning, the WNU will promote academic rigour and high professional ethics in all phases of nuclear activity, from fuel and isotope supply to decommissioning and waste management.
