Copenhagen Atomics presents a new reactor design, with different physics than all other previous reactor designs, resulting in much lower energy price and less materials used. The reacrtors are designed to fit into a custom 40-foot shipping container optimized for mass manufacturing and to supply energy for industrial applications.

The Innovative Small Modular Reactor Development Agency (hereinafter referred to as the i-SMR Development Agency) is an incorporated foundation jointly supported by the Ministry of Science and ICT and The Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment to carry out cross-departmental projects. The i-SMR, a light water reactor type, has the main purpose of producing electricity on land. 

The i-SMR Development Agency aims to develop i-SMR and obtain Standard Design Approval from Korean regulatory body by 2028, with the goal of commercializing the world-best carbon-neutral SMR in the 2030s.
