IMPACT OF TARIFFS ON THE NUCLEAR INDUSTRY - Briefing for World Nuclear Association Members
08 May 2025

The introduction of trade actions by the new US administration has led to significant global trade instability, including a trade war between US and China.

What are the implications for the nuclear industry? Following their well-received presentation to the Economics, Law and Finance Working Group in April, we are pleased to invite Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP to provide a briefing to World Nuclear Association members on the topic. Among issues covered, the session will look at the products subject to the tariffs, the exclusions, the importance of rules of origin and what companies should do to mitigate the risks.

The briefing will be followed by Q&A.

Speakers:

Elina Teplinsky – Partner, Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP, Deputy Chair of the Economics, Law and Finance Working Group

Sahar Hafeez - Senior Counsel, Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP

Ata Akiner - Senior Associate, Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP

Moderator:

Serge Gorlin – Head of Membership and Business Development, World Nuclear Association
