Effective Leadership for a Sustainable Nuclear Future: Empowering People and Institutions in a Time of Rapid Expansion
16 September 2025 | Vienna
As the world increasingly turns to nuclear to address the increasing need for sustainable energy solutions, the challenge for our industry lies not in technology solutions but in "people" and leadership. Achieving these goals requires adaptative, inclusive and resilient leaders who can unleash the full potential of individuals and organizations globally.
Drawing on the experiences of senior leaders currently reshaping the industry, breaking barriers and making nuclear expansion possible, this panel will issue a call to action for organizations and individuals to embrace visionary and strategic leadership to move the industry forward successfully and with a people-centric perspective. This event is organized by South Africa and co-organized by World Nuclear University.
An interactive panel will feature
- Sama Bilbao y Leon, Director General, World Nuclear Association
- Loyiso Tyabashe, Group Chief Executive Officer, South African Nuclear Energy Corporation
- Jan Van der Lee, Executive Director of the International Institute of Nuclear Energy
This event will be held on Tuesday, 16 September 2025, from 4.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. in Conference Room CR1, C Building, second floor.
