Roadmaps to New Nuclear 2026
The OECD Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA) and the US Department of Energy hosted the fourth Roadmaps to New Nuclear conference in Paris on 17–18 September 2026, bringing together governments, industry and other stakeholders to address the challenges of delivering new nuclear energy at scale.
World Nuclear Association joined eight other nuclear industry associations in issuing a joint statement calling on governments to support nuclear growth through long-term, predictable energy policies, access to finance, international regulatory cooperation, resilient nuclear supply chains, and investment in skills, industrial capability and innovation.
The statement also calls for action to support the continued operation of existing nuclear facilities, including life extensions, as well as the deployment of new nuclear capacity.
World Nuclear Association at Roadmaps to New Nuclear
World Nuclear Association participated in discussions on the key conditions needed to deliver nuclear energy at scale, including finance, fuel supply security and workforce development. This builds on the Association's participation in the 2025 Roadmaps to New Nuclear conference, where it presented a joint industry statement calling for government action across the nuclear value chain.
